Investing in yourself is totally worth it. It's not selfish and in fact, I can truthfully say that those around you will benefit as they bask in your newly warming glow. Also, don't be scared to invest in yourself. If you are happier, more fulfilled, more resilient and better able to cope you, and everyone around you, will derive those benefits. So it IS for you, but it's inadvertently for everyone else too. Plus, on the practical side, if you split the payments it is very do-able!
